Like a beacon of light and hope the spaceship alien
jigged out of the atmosphere, leaving behind his only home, the ice
Meanwhile
at the very same time, an adventurer by the name of Lara Albert slowly stirred
from her deep sleep and opened her eyes. “It’s time!” she cried and sprang to
her feet, pulling back her long dark hair and sliding on her non-leather animal
friendly boots. She bolted through the front door of a tiny rustic cottage
covered in small yellow buttercups, the door bouncing off its hinges slightly.
Lara paid no attention to the door’s creaky wooden cries as she was already
half way down the road, getting steadily faster and faster. She was the only
one alive in the world who knew the importance of this day, the only one who
truly understood. Logs from ancient fallen trees littered her path as she
struggled up a steep hill. Lara jumped these monolithic obstacles as if they
were nothing but twigs. She was focused and ready, blood rushed through her
veins and wooshed through her ears like her very own portable ocean. Finally
she came to the top of the hill where it fell away into a sheer cliff. Rather
than slow down, Lara Albert screwed up all her energy and pelted towards
oblivion. Leaping off the cliff’s edge….she flew. Her eyes glinted with the
shine of a rainbow upon the horizon. Air born and determined she reached out
her arms and grabbed hold of an ancient flying fox rope…..
